Writing has been my passion from a very young age. An early reader at four, I am very thankful to my mother for instilling in me the love of reading as well as of writing. This is a love that has remained with me throughout life. Interestingly, the very first chapter book that I read as a child was an old biography about Marie Curie, the scientist and Nobel Prize winner. Although it was old, it fostered in me the love of biography. Since then, I have read volumes of biographies and autobiographies and have studied the form during, and outside of, my academic career.

I have served as an educator for over 25 years and have also worked as a columnist for a weekly publication for over 15 years. Over the years, I have edited and proofread a large number of ebooks, articles, autobiographies, blogs, memoirs, and other documents, and have also written and published seven motivational books for youth and six autobiographies for my clients.  As an educator, professional writer and editor, I have proofread countless documents, and am a stickler for grammatical correctness and logical flow.

With a sound knowledge of writing as a result of my undergraduate degree in English and other writing courses, and with further refinement during my graduate work in Education (MA & PhD), I have been able to work independently as a professional writer.  I count as an asset my years of experience in volunteering in the non-profit sector with children, youth, parents, and with those considered on the margin,  because this has provided me with great insight into circumstances and relationships, and has made me more empathic than ever before.

Training and experience have prepared me to vicariously enter as a professional writer into the lives of my clients who entrust me with writing and/or editing their autobiographies and other projects.  I look forward to the privilege of working with you.
